La Présentation

Goodness! 'Twould appear that a blog, a silly journal-esque piece of the internet in which one may expunge thoughts from the head by transferring them to electronic bits and bytes, has been created! That sentence was entirely too long.

Some of you may know me from this account: http://selenedragon.deviantart.com I go by the nicknames Selene, Sel, Sleen, various other corruptions, Steph, Broda, the merry Queen of Anatolia, and whatnot. Feel free to use the first four, I care not.

Introductions aside, as most looking at this will already know me in some form, I feel the need to discuss something critical in the fields of illustration, animation, photorealism, cartooning, et cetera.

Why yes, I did in fact create this blog specifically to make making a tutorial on this particular subject easier! Good job, Sel.

Now, I specifically chose a blog in which to explicate this subject (that will be coming up soon) so as to remind viewers that these are my views, my opinions, and perhaps not necessarily an authority on the subject. The following comes from my own theses, though I'm certain some of them may be shared by other people, and other people may have made entire dissertations on the subject long before me. I've not seen these dissertations myself, and so on the premise that others have not seen such a dissertation... eh.

Blah blah blah blah I want to talk about realism, cartoons (or exaggeration, whatever you call it) and what each offers for illustrators, which will help me segway intoooo...

How to make the most out of expressions, Sel's way.

But first!

Nice to meet you all. C:
